I started by adding some Doodlebug dog related washi tape to a couple of pieces of card stock. I alternated between the three washi tape designs that I chose to create a fun pattern. Then, I used some dies that I had in my stash from a Queen and Co. card kit that is, of course, dog related to cut some dog shapes to start out my cards. I grabbed some Simon Says Stamp card stock from my stash to create the card bases and some Hero Arts specialty paper that I had in my stash as well to create some focal points. I used the My Favorite Things Blueprints 24 and Stitched Rectangles dies to cut these focal points out. I also used the My Favorite Things Playful Pups stamp set and the Jessica Lynn Originals Pitbull stamp set to create some colored images to add to the cards. These are two of my favorite stamp sets to use for dog cards. I used the MFT one for all of the sentiments on the cards this time. I also used the Lawn Fawn cross stitch squares to create the base for one of the shaker cards and one of the focal images as well. I love those cross stitch dies except they always make me want to get back into cross stitching!!!
With two of the cards I made shaker cards! I just love little shake, shake, shaker cards!!!! I used some shaker elements that the wonderful Betsy from UniquePaper15 sent me in her flip card recently (it was so incredible!!!!). I also used the Stampin' Up thin foam strips that I cannot get enough of - they totally make making shaker cards simple and easy and I find that I am making more and more nowadays.
I just used the die cut shapes on one of the other cards to make it clean and simple. I felt that they stood out just fine on their own. I added some Doodlebug Sprinkles and Boom - done! I tried to make a graphic looking card for one of the other cards but felt it was lacking so I colored up a quick little image from that MFT stamp set and added that cute little doggy. He is holding the entire card together all by his little lonesome! It's a cute card. Finally, I used a little pug that I had run though my Xyron sticker maker (the small one - I have the large one too but I always forget to use it!!!) and added that to the center of a some wood grain card stock and used an outline of the washi tape along with a cute little sentiment and all the cards were finished!
As I said, I still feel like I need to get my groove back and I am still feeling quite sick but it is coming along. It is always nice to get back into the craft room. Thanks for joining me today and I hope that you guys have a wonderful weekend. Jude :-)
