Sometimes you get stamp sets and you know that they will be used for lots of reasons - and then sometimes you just have to have that one particular set for that one particular person - it's a MUST! Don't get me wrong, I do love sock monkeys - they are the cutest! But, I don't love them as much as my one friend does; I mean she LOVES sock monkeys!!! So, I knew I just had to get this Ellen Hutson set when it came out - just for her.

Who doesn't love a sock monkey?!!! |
So, I started with copic friendly paper in the A2 top folding size. I used momento black ink and I made this little guy into a birthday card by stamping him holding the little kite so I could add lots of colors. I used my copic multi liner to extend the lines a bit to make sure they connected to his hand and the edge of the kite. I added the bow for more color and then proceeded to color the image in with my spectrum noir alcohol inks. I love these inks so much! I'm sure, when I am able to get some copic inks, that I will love them too - but for now, I'm really into the spectrum noir inks. I have listed all of the colors I used below. I used glossy accents on the kite to make it shine bright! I added the little box to the inside and colored that as well - a nice little added touch I think. I added the sentiment with Avery Elle Cherry ink and we were good to go! Love it so much!!!!

There is just something about a little sock monkey that makes a gal happy! And, that is the goal - spreading kindness and happiness! There is too much evil and sadness in this world - lets spread a little bit of this good stuff around! Have a great day! Jude :-)
